Support for businesses in the Wolds area 

Advance Rural Lincolnshire (ARL) (delivered by Success Matrix and funded by Lincolnshire County Council, Lincolnshire Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund) was launched in June 2006 to provide support to existing and new businesses in East and West Lindsey. The Lindsey District Councils’ also support the programme. Since its launch it has helped well over 100 businesses, across a diverse range of sectors, with a combination of FREE advisory support and counselling, FREE needs-driven workshops, and the allocation of a subsidy fund.  

A series of workshops covering sales and marketing topics in October 2006 were well attended and met with excellent feedback and results. Further workshops are planned including Making Your Website Pay, Practical Website Construction and Combating Stress; details of these will be on the website. 

Funding may be available through ARL in the form of a subsidy to help with any specialist support costs that a business has identified (including the cost of marketing campaigns). Many businesses have already benefited from financial help to create that much needed website, fund a feasibility study for expansion and for business relocation and getting to a premium exhibition that might not have been affordable for a small business. Applications that are successful will receive a maximum of 50% of the net costs from a minimum of £500 up to a maximum of £1500 (excl VAT). 

ARL looks forward to playing a continuing active role in the business community of East and West Lindsey in 2007 and working closely with clients we know and hopefully the ones we will get to know by our pro-active approach to helping businesses.
