The Lincolnshire Wolds is an ideal
place for all equestrian sports. There are ample leafy country lanes
and wide grass verges. There are many bridleways, few gates and a
lot of horse friendly places along the way.
Bridleways provide a
lovely view of the countryside and an excellent location for
exercising a horse or pony. However, it is up to members of the
public to maintain them, making sure they remain open for every one
to enjoy.
Lincolnshire County Council and the
British Horse Society have produced a booklet of numerous
circular horse rides for the county, some of which explore the
Wolds' countryside. The books are available to purchase from
Lincolnshire County Council, Development Directorate on 01522
782070.
