| SITE DESCRIPTION: |
Deserted Medieval Villages are quite numerous within the higher
chalk Wolds. Calcethorpe and South Cadeby are good examples with
highly visible earthworks which relate to old farmsteads, ditches,
tracks and clearly defined sections of ridge and furrow. |
