SITE DESCRIPTION:	It is a small farm of about 31 acres (13 hectares) on the edge of Louth town, adjacent to Hubbards Hill public park. The farm was a small mixed farm of about 52 acres until the mid 1980's, when it was then cut in two by the building of the Louth by-pass. It has been farmed by the family for the past 50 years. With the purchase of adjoining grassland the farm is about 31 acres of grass and wooded area. Its appearance is undulating in some fields with woodland, stream and a marshy area. One field is a small area of historic parkland with the other fields creating a traditional well-hedged landscape. Flower rich grassland, hedgerows, woodlands. Hedge restoration is being carried out, as well as creating two small meadow fields from land damaged by the building of the Louth by-pass. Landscape features include a river valley, escarpment and walls and hedges. The farm is adjacent to Hubbards Hill public park which is an important glacial feature within the area. It is also within the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB.

AVAILABILITY:	Open all year, every day of the week.
ACCESS AND PARKING:	Easy access and parking on site for minibuses and cars. Parking for coaches near the site.
FACILITIES:	Staff available to talk to groups on site. Toilets (including disabled), refreshments, picnic area and indoor facilities for teaching are available
