Grant Money Available For Redundant
Buildings
A grants programme to
provide unused buildings with a new life for business purposes is
seeking applicants in Lincolnshire. Community Lincs has run the
redundant rural buildings grants scheme, on behalf of Lincolnshire
Enterprise, since 2006. The contract to deliver this service has now
been extended to 2012.
The grants scheme offers up to 25% of
the full costs to owners of redundant or derelict buildings who
convert them for business use. The maximum grant available is
£50,000. Applications are welcome in respect of property located
throughout Lincolnshire with the exception of Lincoln, Grantham and
North and North East Lincolnshire.
Fiona White – Chief Executive at
Community Lincs said "the RRBG programme attracts applications from
all over Lincolnshire and from a wide variety of applicants for
diverse end uses."
Will Bedford, Programme Manager at
Lincolnshire County Council said "this initiative is designed to
support both the economy and the environment and is a wonderful
opportunity to bring back to life buildings that have been neglected
and run down. This is an example of a credit crunch busting grant
scheme in the current economic climate"
