Sustainable
Development Fund (SDF)

We are delighted to
confirm that LWCS has successfully acquired renewed
SDF funding of over £61,000 for this financial year
(2008-09).
Projects must be complete by the end of March 2009.
Please view the criteria below to see if your project
may be eligible or contact the Lincolnshire Wolds office with any
queries. You may submit an Expression of Interest form
if you would like some provisional feedback on your
project idea or alternatively complete one of the
application forms. Once an application form is
submitted with all supporting information, a decision is
usually made within approximately 6 weeks.

What the fund is about
The SDF is aimed at
supporting the communities within the Lincolnshire Wolds,
particularly those seeking to live in a more sustainable way.
It also seeks to
conserve and enhance the local characteristics of culture, wildlife,
landscape, land use and community.
Suitable projects
are those which provide a sustainable development
aspect to a project and which encourage diversity and
co-operation in the AONB. They may include:
appropriate
renewable/green energy schemes
sustainable transport
projects
innovative products or
initiatives connected to land management
community youth
schemes with an environmental or heritage aspect
projects involving
participation by community members
nature, landscape or
historic environment conservation activities
sustainable tourism
projects including infrastructure or product development
projects which
directly address actions in the AONB Management Plan.
