After an exciting and very busy year celebrating 30 years as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 2003, the Lincolnshire Wolds looked forward to the future with the publication of the Lincolnshire Wolds Management Plan (2004-2009). This 5 year Management Plan for the AONB was the first major step to achieving our vision for the special qualities of the landscape, the quality of life for residents, the rich habitats for wildlife, and the opportunities for us all to enjoy the Wolds which are recognised and highly prized.

Now it is time to reflect on what the Plan has achieved and how everyone, not just the Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service and the local authorities, has implemented the policies to ensure the actions have been carried out. It was a plan built on partnerships, and through partnership working it has been a success.

Launch of the Management Plan - March 2004

The Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service are currently undertaking a review of the Management Plan – what needs reviewing, refreshing, removing or adding to ensure the AONB Management Plan (2009-2014) continues to be the key document when undertaking work within or adjacent to the AONB. More

The current Management Plan is available to download or you can view a hard copy at local libraries.
