28 February 2024

The National Education Nature Park in the East Midlands, which launched on Wednesday 4 October to all schools, colleges and nurseries in England!  The DfE has identified 31 schools across Lincolnshire that are eligible for a 10k grant, to spend on interventions to increase the biodiversity within their school grounds and encourage outdoor learning. The grant is non-competitive and paid upfront, however the application deadline this year is 1 May 2024.

The Nature Park is commissioned by the DfE and aims to empower children and young people to make a positive difference to both their own and nature’s future. This initiative is also part of the Department for Education Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy. The Nature Park is a free programme which will provide educators with the resources, support and guidance needed to put nature at the heart of education. You can find many more details regarding all aspects of the Nature Park on the website, which is regularly added to and updated.
