Current Capital Projects

Since 2006, a Project Officer has undertaken a number of site visits offering long-term chalk stream management advice to landowners, farmers and communities. The Lincolnshire Chalk Streams Project has helped plan and find funding to deliver on-the-ground habitat improvements to many of the chalk streams. See case studies map for locations and detail on past habitat improvement projects.
2020 habitat improvement projects in progress:
-
River Rase – In-channel enhancements
-
River Waring – Natural Flood Management options of field bunds and leaky barriers
-
Great Eau – Sediment investigation, fencing and in-channel enhancements
-
