A candlelit carol service is being held at the old church at Walesby, Market Rasen LN8 3BZ known as the Ramblers Church.
The annual service is being hosted by the Friends of the Old Church Walesby, a registered charity, next Saturday December 13 at 7pm. Music will feature from the Gainsborough Salvation Army Citadel Band, as well as Da Capo Folk Group and Stonesthrow Folk Group.
Walesby Parochial Church Council cannot afford to maintain both St Marys, which is the present parish church, and the Old Church as well.
Peter Braithwaite, chairman of the Friends of the Old Church Walesby, formed in 1980 to help care for the church, said all are welcome – walking boots or wellies plus torches are recommended.
