Willoughby History Group's new season of talks begins on Saturday 7th September at 2 pm in Willoughby Village Hall when we will host an illustrated talk entitled: Lincolnshire - The Forgotten County and its place in England's History. Our speaker will be Derek Turner who is a novelist, journalist & poet who came to live in Lincolnshire over 25yrs ago. His first non-fiction book was published in 2023 and is entitled Lincolnshire - the Edge of England which is a mixture of nature writing, folklore, history & memoir. Next year he will be publishing a 2nd factual book on English local history & England's national identity.
