'The Canticle of Mary' sets seven little known medieval carol texts for choir and organ.
The central tenet is that Mary, a young virgin being told she is to bear the son of God would surely have had questions… as would her husband! In this forty-minute cantata we follow the young Mary's journey from fear and questioning to unconditional love for her newborn son and an understanding of the enormity of God's plan for them.
