The Old Police Station, Dear Street, Market Rasen

To complement our exhibition on the Claxby and Nettleton Ironstone Mines, we welcome Tracey Jones, AHRC Heritage Consortium PhD at Teesside University, to give a fascinating talk on the history of women working in the mining industry.

Join us in the historic surroundings of our Victorian Magistrates Courtroom for this chance to learn about the Lancashire Pit Brow Lasses, Welsh Tip Girls and Cornish Bal Maidens.

The talk is just £3 with tea, coffee and a biscuit on your arrival. Please reserve your tickets in advance - see below.

Tickets MUST be reserved in advance please - due to the limited space in the Courtroom. Please phone the Town Council on 01673 842479 or email festivalhall@marketrasentc.co.uk
