We are very excited to have commissioned writer Ayesha Chouglay and Artists INSTAR - Trish Evans and Nick Humphreys.
Ayesha Chouglay
Ayesha is a writer and multimedia artist from the global majority, using her work to open up safe spaces for conversation. She explores her perception of the world through the lens of her disabilities - she identifies as deaf.
Ayesha is new to nature writing and her relationship with the Lincolnshire Wolds is from an unexplored family connection and wanting to question what it means to belong in a place you don’t come from. Ayesha will be working with a variety of local groups including disability groups, learning about navigating the landscapes through people who experience a number of barriers.
INSTAR
Artists Trish Evans and Nick Humphreys, create contemporary site-specific public/visual art, literature and cutting-edge cultural programmes. Their multidisciplinary artwork creates deeper connections to the natural world and is often located unconventionally in wild and urban spaces across the UK.
Sightlines, is a vibrant and evocative multidisciplinary project, producing contemporary printworks and visual temporary sculptures in response to the unique Lincolnshire Wolds landscape. As artists we are thrilled to be taking a deep creative dive into the wildness of ‘the Wolds’, collaborating with many along our journey, unlocking a new, powerful visual language and voice.
