4th June 2020It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the recent passing of Councillor Lewis Strange our friend and fellow colleague. He was a very humble and kind gentleman, a local farmer and a true advocate of the Lincolnshire Wolds. -
Public spaces and exercise
3rd June 2020The updated government guidance on accessing green spaces safely is now available. In England, the public can leave their home to exercise and spend time outdoors for recreation with their household or in groups of up to six people from outside their household. To stay safe, the public must: • Take hygiene precautions when they are outside • Wash their hands as soon as they are back indoors • Keep at least two metres apart from anyone outside their household at all times • Take hand sanitiser with them when they set off in case there are no handwashing facilities The guidance includes an updated list of what the public can now do, as well as a reminder to respect other people and protect the natural environment. -

Star Count shows 61% of participants live in areas with severe light pollution
28th May 2020In February CPRE, the countryside charity, asked the nation to count the number of stars visible in the Orion constellation. More than 2,400 people took part and the results show that for most of us, light pollution is blocking our view of the night sky.
