East Lindsey Community Legacy Scheme

10 September 2026

Newly launched: East Lindsey District Council’s East Lindsey Investment Fund and the newly launched East Lindsey Community Legacy Scheme.

The following grants will be funded by the East Lindsey Investment Fund, a significant investment of the Council’s own funds in the future of the District.

The Funding will be distributed across two grant schemes. Key facts about both:

The East Lindsey Community Legacy Fund (Grants Below £35,000 - £1.5m)

  • Successor to the nationally-recognised GRASSroots Scheme, offers grants up to £35,000.
  • Grants are targeted at Village Halls, Parish Councils, individual community facilities (including sports facilities), community projects and smaller pride in place/environmental improvement initiatives. The objective is to improve living standards for local residents and to raise the quality of both place and the environment in East Lindsey.
  • Generally (though not exclusively), these projects will focus on an individual ward, area or settlement.
  • £1.5m in total allocated (inclusive of administration) – expected to award quarterly to December 2027 (though if the funding is exhausted earlier, it will close earlier).
  • Administered by the Lincolnshire Community Foundation on contract with the Council (I’m the officer contact for the contract).
  • The first Round closes on 30th October 2026, for awards by early December.

The Pride in East Lindsey Fund (Grants Above £35,000 - £500,000)

  • A renewal of the popular Pride in East Lindsey Fund for another Round. This Fund offers grants over £35,000.
  • Grants are targeted at larger projects that improve the quality of the environment and place and which have an impact on living standards and place across multiple wards of the Council. Examples of projects funded previously are published on the LGFD page.
  • Generally, these projects will have wide impact across multiple wards of East Lindsey.
  • £500,000 in total allocated (inclusive of administration) – expected to award in a single Round, concluding in December 2026.
  • Administered by our service (LGFD) centrally within East Lindsey District Council.
  • The Round closes on 23rd October 2026, for awards by early December.
