Exploring Rural Spaces: Nature Calling Poetry and Drawing Online Workshop

01 November 2024

A free online workshop with Nature Calling's Ayesha Chouglay exploring how to use drawing exercises to get into the flow for writing poetry.

15 November 2024 6.30 – 7.50pm. FREE, but places must be booked in advance.

Explore how to write about rural spaces from the comfort of your home, bringing the outside in, using objects, memory, multiple senses and visualisation.

There will also be a short poetry reading, which will include a couple of poems from the Nature Calling project.

You can attend from anywhere, and will still learn how to write about rural spaces that you feel a connection to, whilst also learning about the Lincolnshire Wolds.

We aim to create a relaxed space. There is no pressure to join in; feel free to listen if you would prefer.

Magna Vitae is the producer for the Lincolnshire Wolds in the Nature Calling programme. It brings together the 34 National Landscapes in England, local arts organisations and community groups from within a 30-minute journey time. Nature Calling, funded by Arts Council England (as part of the Lottery-funded National Significant Project stream), the Department for Environment, Farming and Rural Affairs (Defra) (as part of the Protected Landscapes Partnership) and National Landscapes in England.
