Spotlight on a Wolds Community Business

10 July 2020

Post & Pantry is an independent Village Store and Post Office which has undergone a complete transformation in the last 4 years. With investment of time and money from owners Simon and Diana Lidgard along with funding from the Lincolnshire Wolds Sustainable Development Fund and the Post Office Community Fund the business has been transformed. What used to be a tired local shop stocking everyday essentials now specialises in featuring Lincolnshire products and a tearoom has also been created.

The shop supplies local products including meats (including Lincoln Red beef and Venison), cheeses, pies & pastries, jams and chutneys, bread, milk, honey, oats, flour, gin, beers, wine and even gifts and cards from Lincolnshire artists.
Situated in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds and on the Viking Way the tearoom is proving popular with walkers, cyclists, tourists as well as the local community. The tearoom offers a selection of hot and cold food and drinks using locally sourced produce wherever possible.

There is a toilet and hand washing facilities which are open to the general public during opening hours.

The business is recognised as "Pet Friendly" and "Age Friendly Business" by Talk Eat Drink - Ageing Better in East Lindsey and was awarded "Independent Retailer of the Year 2019" in the East Lindsey Business Awards.
